ABSTRACT


Today, alternative and less polluting means of transportation are becoming increasingly popular and their technologies even more accessible.

The main objective of this work is to deepen this market revolution and propose a simple, cheap, safe and 100% electric means of transportation for a common consumer: The Electric Longboard, following the trend of the LMV. It will also be important to study the state of the art in battery technologies and electric motors.

This project presents and compares applications of Brushless motor control techniques and high-power LiPo battery management using an ATMega328 microcontroller and Blue- tooth Low Energy to control the devices.

This project builds a prototype electric Longboard capable of reaching 33 km/h with a LiPo 8S 5000 mAh battery and a Bluetooth remote controller capable of changing the Longboard settings and controlling its speed.
